Over a four-year period (2012-16), Robert Burley explored the complex relationship between Toronto\u2019s wilderness and urban life at a pivotal time in city’s history. The outcome is a visual book that explores one of the most extensive urban park systems in the world. Burley’s photographs are augmented with selections of poetry and prose by some of Toronto s best-known writers and this publication also includes a history and appendix which provides an important reference for those wanting to better understand one of Toronto’s most defining features. Commissioned by the City of Toronto, published by <\/span>ECW Press presented as a feature exhibition in the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival 2017.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
