COLLECTIVE VISIONS
Robert Burley is featured in the newly opened exhibition, Collective Visions, at the Art Gallery of Ontario. His work also appears in the accompanying publication, Collective States: Worlds of Photography at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Curated by Sophie Hackett, the exhibit brings together artists, curators, and collectors to select a photograph from the collection using the Surrealist “Exquisite Corpse” method. The results reveal the AGO collection in surprising and unexpected ways.

Solo Exhibition 2026
Curated by Catherine Bedard, this exhibiiton will open in conjuction with Nuit Blanche Paris on June 6-26. Burley's selection of sites and consistent viewpoints serves a purpose. Some photographs are created in North America’s largest and most densely populated cities, while others are captured in remote wilderness areas where land meets water. Some reveal the unaltered geological state of a Precambrian era, while others record recent, ephemeral, human interventions that have modified the lakes’ natural contours.
